The Moontrader team is constantly developing the terminal, guided not only by our internal roadmap, but also by feedback from the community. Our goal is to make the platform as convenient and efficient as possible. That's why this latest update includes a number of important changes - either directly requested by users or inspired by their input, which sparked the addition of new functionality. Let's take a closer look at each one.
Moontrader now once again provides access to a cloud-based data archive, making it much easier to work with historical market data. The information is stored on a dedicated server, and market history is available starting from June 2024. Users can now:
This update ensures fast and reliable access to historical data, which can be used to build and test strategies. More data = more control.
Moontrader has introduced a new Alerts feature designed to simplify the monitoring of key price levels and automate actions when certain conditions are met.
Alerts are signals that are triggered when the price moves. Key features include:
This system allows users to track important market events, such as the price reaching a certain level or the appearance of a candlestick pattern, without having to constantly watch the chart.
Alerts are a highly effective tool that enhances both manual and algorithmic trading by reducing human error and speeding up response time.
The Market Live section now includes trading volumes across different time frames, giving a more complete picture of market activity.
Market Live is Moontrader's internal system for processing market data in real time. It calculates price changes over different intervals, displays active strategies and user orders - all together providing accurate insights for tuning algorithmic trading.
What's new:
BAV and QAV are two metrics used by traders to analyse liquidity and trading activity. BAV shows the volume of the base asset (e.g. BTC in BTC/USDT) traded over a given period of time. QAV reflects the total value of transactions in the quoted currency (e.g. USDT in BTC/USDT) over the same period.
High volume values may indicate strong trader interest and highlight potential entry or exit points. These metrics help to identify large trades, assess liquidity and filter out market noise.
The Trading Performance section now includes new filters for deeper analysis of trading results:
These tools help traders to better evaluate their strategies and make informed decisions to optimize them.
In response to user feedback, we have updated the terminal interface with new options in profile and client settings - including the ability to create White Lists (WL).
We have also simplified the way metrics are displayed on charts by focusing on four key metrics, reducing distraction and improving clarity.
In addition, the visual design has been refreshed - colour palette, fonts, menu layout - to make it easier for new users to navigate the terminal, while increasing efficiency for experienced traders.
The latest Moontrader updates are all about convenience and usability, helping traders work faster and more efficiently, especially when the market demands quick decisions.
We actively listen to feedback, so many of these changes are a direct response to what traders really want. Thank you to everyone who shares their thoughts and ideas with us - it keeps the platform moving forward. To the Moon!
